A Family Business Built From the Ground Up
Darren Toppin has been working in construction since 1983. He spent decades learning the trade before founding Toppin Construction, starting out running a one-man crew doing small residential repairs across Southern Iowa. Word of mouth — and a reputation for showing up on time and doing the job right — turned that one-man crew into a full-service construction company.
Today, Toppin Construction handles everything from small single room remodels to large multi-team projects, but the values haven't changed: clear communication, honest pricing, and craftsmanship that holds up long after the crew leaves the job site.
The Person Behind The Projects
Darren has been working in construction since 1983, learning the trade from the ground up over four decades before founding Toppin Construction with a one-man crew doing small residential repairs across Southern Iowa. He's since grown the company into a full-service contractor without losing the hands-on approach that built its reputation.
He still walks every job site personally, from the initial estimate to the final walkthrough, and believes a contractor's word should be as solid as the work itself.
